Picture above are my first and second mock up model, my first concept was basically just holes on a piece of concrete and the purpose of the holes are natural sunlight and giving the first impression to customer that the wall display shows that it is based on coconut husk and so is the cafe. The coconut husk also works as the reinforcement so that it is durable. My lecturer liked the coconut husk that it attracted their attention and they asked me to put more of it. The second mock up model were designed for people to take picture. When you looked from the centre it's like a layered tunnel and customers can stand in between any of it to take an aesthetic photograph. This project are for interaction which I tried my best to make a concrete to be interactable. I found it hard since concrete can't do much of a mechanism, but with the guidance from lecturer, I made it.

This is the final outcome of all the combination of my Coconut tree's characteristic. My Final model for this assignment is a wall display, it functions as an entrance for the cafe. With the minimum requirement for an entrance width is 600 mm, the wall display was able to have 3 entrance. The final outcome also provide a lot of function, which is the post as support, the holes in between provide air ventilation and in the same time, natural lighting. It's also a place for visitors to take aesthetic pictures . This design was also inspired by Le Corbusier, a Swiss-French architect whom like to design a brutalis building. And not forgotten, Tadao Ando who really loves to work with concrete. Throughout this project, at first, I was worried with all the 'seems impossible to work on concrete' ideas that was given by lecturer. But with some research about concrete. I've learnt that concrete is very flexible to work with, there's alot of things I can do with concrete, To have a good engineer, everything  will work on concrete. I'm really grateful that I had the chance of doing this project and I really had fun and love the progress of doing this assignment.
